We hand pick 10 amazing professional coaches that share our vision. We welcome trained program assistants that volunteer their time on the ice. We offer an affordable program (which included the loan of skates) without the need for any fundraising, hidden fees or required volunteer hours.
Within a few months of operation the Kingston Skating Academy was recognized as one of Skate Ontario’s Award of Excellence CanSkate programs and we have been a leader in programming every since.
Our program boasts a low coach to skater ratio allowing immediate feedback, error detection & correction.
Classes are taught by Skate Canada professional coaches that promote and share their joy and passion for skating!

LEARN TO SKATE
FUN & AFFORDABLE
Our motto is that every Canadian should learn to skate.
Join us for 5 introductory sessions geared to beginners of all ages.
A maximum of 5 participants will learn on-ice FUNdamentals in a relaxed
atmosphere with trained coaches.
Whether your goal is to public skate with confidence, play hockey someday,
stay physically fit, relieve stress, or simply meet new people this is where it
all begins.

HOCKEY SKILLS
The feet are the foundation to great skating & to play GR8 you must be able to SK8 great. This dynamic, drill based session will introduce, develop and improve edge control, turning, skating & stopping in all directions utilizing the ABC’s (Agility, Balance and Control).
